Hi Everyone,

Im hoping someone can help me track down a copy of an audiobook on cassette I had as a kid. Roald Dahl The Minpins. It was the 90s, read by a male reader. I remember it so vividly but I’m having trouble finding the correct version that I remember. I have listened to the Bill Bailey version online which I don’t think is the one, and I have bought the 1991 cassette off eBay read by Richard Pasco which also doesn’t seem to be right. I live in Australia so it’s possible it was a limited release or regional version.

If anyone remembers this or knows how I can find out who this was and how to get a copy please help thank you! And Merry Christmas

In the page for the new Wonka movie it says that it's the first movie in the Roald Dahl Cinematic universe. I had no idea this was happening but when I Google Roald dahl cinematic universe, I couldn’t find anything.

So i was looking at the pages for the 5 children in Willy Wonka/CATCF, and for Violet it states one of her nationalities is Korean, and for Charlie, it only lists Dominican-American.

Is this related to a new remake or just is it just headcanon?

(Be aware, the following information is from Wikipedia so take it with a pinch of salt).

According to what I've read, the original ending of the 1990 adaptation of "The Witches" actually was based on the book ending; 'Luke' staying a mouse and he and his Grandmother getting ready to go and hunt down the rest of the witches with Luke been content at his shortened lifespan because he didn't want to be with anyone else. This ending was also apparently filmed and finished as it's said that Roald Dahl did see it and the scene moved him to tears.

However, test audiences weren't happy and so the ending was changed to a happier one where one witch becomes good and changes Luke back into a human - much to Dahl's anger when he saw it.

Question is, if this is indeed true, do you think this scene still exists?

If so (and much like how the 1986 version of Little Shop of Horrors later included its original ending in place of the happy ending), do you think there should be a future DVD/Blu-Ray release with the original ending intact?
